Open enrollment for health insurance starts on November 15th 2014 to secure your health insurance effective January 1 2014.

If you do not have a health insurance policy now you can enroll for health insurance coverage starting on November 15th. If you already have health insurance you can update and make changes to your plan starting on this date. Customers with existing health insurance plans will soon be receiving their renewals for 2015 from their insurance companies. Anthem Blue Cross, and Blue Shield of California have released their tentative 2015 renewal rates. Covered California clients will also receive their health insurance renewal packets soon.

If you have a Covered California health insurance plan, and you want to stay on your plan you can just continue to make your normal payments to your insurance company. Presently, the only two individual health insurance companies offering coverage through Covered California are Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, however this could change if new insurers enter the marketplace.
